Lambeth Council’s Climate Action Plan (CAP) goal is to become net zero compatible by 2030. This means that the borough will try to reduce emissions as much as possible, and offset any remaining emissions through activities like planting trees.

The CAP has five themes of climate action: adaptation, buildings and energy, transport, waste, consumption and food, and biodiversity and environmental quality.
