City of London
The City of London Climate Action Plan is a comprehensive strategy designed to address climate change and create a more sustainable future for the City. It outlines a range of initiatives and actions aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, adapting to the impacts of climate change, and promoting a more sustainable way of life.
The City Corporation aims to achieve net zero emissions for its direct operations by 2027.
This strategy has been developed to support the delivery of The Paris Agreement on climate change (2015) and our obligations under the UK Climate Change Act (amended 2019). This has enshrined in law both a target of net zero emissions by 2050 and measures for climate adaptation.
